Injection Mold
In the spring of my junior year as part of my IPD 5010 class, I worked with a partner to make injection molded bowling pins. Through this project, I learned about draft, flow simulations, and how to design with injection molding in mind.

We began by modeling and drafting the bowling pins the way we wanted them to look. Then, we made a mold on Solidworks and developed the tool paths to cut the part with Mastercam. We sanded down the mold so our parts would have a nice surface finish. We injection molded our parts, sanded them down, glued them together, and then finished them with an acrylic clear coat.
