In my Introduction to Mechanical Design class at Penn, we built siege machines and then fought each other in a simulated war. My siege machine was built in a group of three. To operate it, you place a bouncy ball in the 3d printed cup, pull back on the rubber bands and the ball shoots out into the air. The angle of fire can be adjusted by moving the acrylic shooter up and down. This siege machine was very effective in battle.
